Have you heard about the Sculpture Trail taking place in Winterton this summer, but what exactly is it?

It all started in 2017. Following a consultation Winterton 2022 commissioned the production of a number of tractor and owl sculptures to form the basis of a sculpture trail for the town of Winterton. Since then a lot of work from schools, community groups and organisations in the town has gone into creating the sculptures that will form the trail taking place this summer. Each group was given a blank canvas to create their own piece of art on either a tractor or owl sculpture during workshops with local artists Fiona Caley, and Mandy Keating.

Each of the 25 sculptures will be displayed in different locations around the town during the summer. Visitors will be able to follow the trail and find the sculptures around the town. Some of these sculpture will be sold by public auction on Saturday 22nd September 2018 at All Saints Church, Winterton

Over the coming weeks the committee will be sharing more news about the Sculpture Trail on facebook, please follow the link below to find out more about the activities and competitions that are taking place around the trail.
